Think back to what you wanted to do when you where growing up. Do you remember knowing exactly what you wanted to be? At some point in our lives we have all had a Big Dream to do something extraordinary or realize greatness. How old were you and what circumstances caused you to give up on your dream? Some people might say money issues, others might say family. No matter how good and worthy you might feel your excuses are, if you want something bad enough you will find a way. It is never to late to act on your dream, even if it has been decades since you remember last  thinking about it.

If you know exactly what your dream was/is,run out to the bookstore and pick up The Dream Giver , by Bruce Wilkinson. I just read this book and highly recommend it.

What have you done to better yourself lately? Do you have things that you want to do that you never seem to have time for(reading, working out, learning a new language, etc) ? Here is an idea. Turn off your T.V.!  Not having enough time is a BS excuse. If you want to do something, hold yourself accountable and make it happen.  Go to sleep at a decent time and wake up a little early tomorrow. Go running, or read, or do what ever it is that you have been “too busy” to do. It will be hard at first and we all love to sleep in, but you will thank yourself after a couple weeks, when your mornings become a time that you enjoy and look forward to. Make each day count!

Reflection

To advance in any discipline or field, one must first master the art of reflection. We can only improve what we understand. Give careful consideration to the style or approach that you are currently using; How you carry yourself, your volume and tone, your thoughts, your words, your actions, who you are spendng time with, etc. Are you happy with the results or improvment that you are experiencing? If not, think about these areas and where you may need to focus your attention.

The secret to success in just three words-
Never give up.

Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we respond to it. How will you respond to what happens to you today?

What have you read, learned, or experienced that has changed the way you live your life?

Personal growth begins with self-knowledge. You can’t improve something you don’t understand.
